Welche Funktionen vermißt ihr in EyeTV?

Ich bin ein großer Fan von EyeTV, ich denke es ist eine der besten Applikationen, die es für Mac OS X gibt. Ich habe schon oft Wünsche geäußert gegenüber Elgato (Gruß an Lars), die auch oft umgesetzt wurde. Nun habe ich mich gefragt was andere Leute sich noch wünschen würden für EyeTV? Vielleicht kann man gemeinsam Ideen entwickeln und ausarbeiten. Vielleicht kann man auch einige gemeinsam per Scripting lösen.

Also was vermisst ihr bei EyeTV?

iMac ist da

Seit ein paar Tagen ist mein iMac endlich da! Ich muss sagen das Teil macht einfach Spaß!

Schön schnell und sehr leise. Programme laufen alle schnell und stabil egal ob als Universal Binary oder als PowerPC unter Rosetta. Der Monitor ist sehr cool – endlich Platz für alles (hab trotzdem noch meinen 17″ Samsung als zweiten Monitor dran). Den bekannten Grafikbug hat meinen natürlich auch, stört mich gerade aber nicht so sehr, ich warte auf das Softwareupdate von Apple.

Spiele zur Zeit – dank Daggi – World of Warcraft. Sehr cool macht viel Spaß und läuft auf dem neuen iMac dank Universal Binary auch sehr schnell. Mein Gastaccount läuft leider bald aus, aber WOW steht schon auf der Geburtstagwunschliste.

EyeTV und TV-Browser laufen auch und dementsprechend auch meine Applescripte für diese – endlich wieder Fernsehen wann ich will und ohne Werbung.

Allerdings muss ich noch massenweise wieder Programme installieren und einrichten, aber das mach ich nach und nach – gleichzeitig versuche ich eine kleine Liste meiner Lieblingsprogramme und bestimmter Einstellungen zuführen, die dann bald auch in meinem Blog zu finden ist. Ja ich weiß diese Listen gibt es schon tausendfach im Netz. Na und? Ich schaue mir solche Listen auch ab und zu an und finde immer wieder neue cool Sachen.

Auch werde ich bald wieder neue Applescripts schreiben. Mir ist schon eine schöne Idee für ein iTunes-Script eingefallen und auch ein paar Folderactions für Videosachen, mal schauen was dabei rauskommt.

EyeTV2Alias

EyeTV2Alias is little Applescript to create symbolic links to your EyeTV Recordings. You could use this links to open the movies in another player for example VLC or you could use them to share the movies over the network to another mac, Windows PC, XboxMediaCenter or other MediaPlayer. (For sharing you have to set “follow symbolic links” for the pertinent sharing protocol: FTP, SMB, AFP). The Links will be created in your Movie Folder.

Be aware if you edit the movies in another editor then EyeTV then EyeTV perhaps have problems to play, export or edit the files any longer.

You could just start it by clicking or by adding it to your Applescript Menu. Included are two versions. One with a dialog window and one without. The one without automatically create the links in your movie-folder in your home-dir. This one could good be used for cron jobs.

Since the last versions of TV-Browser EyeRecord is not needed anymore. Bodo one of the dev of TV-Browser was so kind to include EyeRecord functions into TV-Browser and make it even better. So checkout the EyeTV support of TV-Browser.

EyeRecord is a little script to program EyeTV with the help of TV-Browser. EyeRecord in combination with TV-Browser is the best and fastest alternative to tvtv.de or tvtitan.com.

(Today TV-Browser only support german tv-stations nativly, US stations could be added with the Zap2It plug-in).

Minimum Requirements
Elgato EyeTV 1.8 or EyeTV 2.0, Growl is supported

EyeTV Exporter

EyeTV Exporter is little Applescript to export all your EyeTV Recording with one click.

The exported recordings will be found in your Movie Folder. You could choose the Exportformat at start. The exported filenames will contain title, startdate, starttime and exportformat.

You could just start it by clicking or by adding it to your Applescript Menu.
